    When you receive a new asset on Canton Network — such as $HANDL, $USDCx, or \$CBTC — you must manually approve it before it becomes available in your balance.

    How you approve depends on your wallet:

    * **HandlPay wallet:** A red indicator appears next to the asset. Click it to approve. You can also enable auto-approval to avoid this step for future transfers.
    * **External wallets (Zoro, Console, CantonLoop, etc.):** Approval flows vary by provider. Follow the instructions from your wallet provider.

    <Tip>
      Enable auto-approval in the HandlPay wallet after your first manual approval to skip this step on future transfers.

## Setup and security

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How do I get a Canton wallet address?">
    You have two options:

    * **Create a new wallet in the HandlPay app** — you need an invite code to get started.
    * **Use an existing Canton ecosystem wallet** — compatible wallets include Loop, Send APP, Bron, Console, Cantor8, and Zoro.

    <Note>
      If you create a wallet inside the HandlPay app, you can both send and receive funds directly in the app. Wallets created with third-party providers let you receive payments via your social handle, but you send funds from the original wallet app.
    </Note>
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Passkey creation was cancelled during Canton wallet setup">
    Canton wallets on HandlPay are self-custodial. Private keys are protected with biometrics via passkeys. Some browser and device combinations do not support passkey creation.

    * **Telegram on desktop:** Passkeys are not supported in the Telegram desktop mini app. Create your wallet using Telegram on mobile instead.
    * **WhatsApp and Instagram on iOS:** These apps open a Meta in-app browser, which does not permit passkey creation on iOS. Tap the settings button inside the in-app browser and choose **Open in browser** to continue with a native browser.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does my Canton wallet not show a Send button?">
    HandlPay distinguishes between two wallet types on Canton Network:

    * **HandlPay wallet** — created inside the HandlPay app with an invite code. You can send and receive funds directly in the app.
    * **External wallet** — created with a third-party app such as Bron, Loop, or Console. You can receive payments via your social handle, but you must use the original wallet app to send funds.

    If the app cannot find your private key on your current device, it automatically treats your wallet as external and the **Send**, **History**, and **Key Export** buttons do not appear.

    This happens when:

    * You created the wallet in incognito or private browsing mode
    * You switched to a different browser or device
    * You cleared your browser data
    * You deleted and reinstalled Telegram
    * You have never imported your private key on this device

    To restore full access, import your private key into the app on your current device. The Send and other buttons reappear automatically once the private key is detected.

    <Warning>
      HandlPay is fully self-custodial and does not store your private key. Always export your private key and store it securely after creating your wallet.
    </Warning>
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I connect my exchange deposit address?">
    Only if the exchange deposit address does not require a memo. \$CC distributions are rejected for Canton addresses that require a memo field to receive transactions — this is typically the case for centralized exchange (CEX) deposit addresses.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What is my HandlPay User ID?">
    You can find your User ID in your payment link:

    1. Click the "Receive money" button underneath your profile picture.
    2. Your User ID is the string that follows the last `/` in the URL.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="&#x22;This device does not support biometric authentication...&#x22;" />
</AccordionGroup>

## Wallets

<Accordion title="How to disconnect a wallet from the app?">
  To remove a wallet from your HandlPay account, tap the three dots next to any asset in that wallet and select **Disconnect wallet**. This only removes the wallet from your HandlPay account, it does not affect your actual wallet, private keys, or funds.

  You can reconnect the same wallet at any time.
</Accordion>

## Extra

<Accordion title="What happened to TransferMole/PMT/AIPAY?">
  We sunset the names TransferMole, PMT, and AIPAY in favour of something sharper: HandlPay and \$HANDL.

  The new brand and token names reflect where we're headed. We turn social media usernames into global, cross-chain payment handles, and "handl" works as a verb, the way you'd want a payment brand to live in everyday language.

  HANDL is young, sharp, and positioned to resonate with the Gen Z and Gen Alpha users who made up our highest-volume adopters.

  The brand carries many shades of meaning. We're a crypto-native company, and our signature orange echoes Bitcoin and crypto as a whole.

  Same mission, same team, sharper name.<br /><br />Our official rebrand announcement can be found here:<br />[https://x.com/HandlPay/status/1936077825900994718?s=20](https://x.com/HandlPay/status/1936077825900994718?s=20)
